Michael Gionta, Esq.


Michael comes from a proud hockey family, having several members play professionally in the NHL. Michael joined the ISA team in 2016. Prior to joining ISA, he was the Co-founder and President of G&S Sports Group. Michael graduated from John Carroll University in 2013, majoring in Finance and Marketing. While enrolled his undergraduate studies Michael was determined to start his own agency and partnered with longtime friend Colby Spooner. Together they created G&S Sports Group. In only a few short years Michael and Colby were able to grow G&S into a strong brand, providing clients individualized attention and meeting their needs at every step of their career. With great success G&S was ready to expand...In 2016 they were able to posture G&S into a successful merger with International Sports Agency where they are thriving today.

ISA was established in 2001 and has been an industry staple representing athletes and coaches in the NFL, NCAA, UFC, NHRA and NASCAR. As the President of ISA Hockey, Michael oversees the day-to-day operations, negotiates player contracts, and assists in all client matters.

In 2017, Michael graduated cum laude from the Claude W. Petit College of Law at Ohio Northern University. He is licensed to practice law in the state of New York. As an attorney, Michael handles various business matters and has successfully headed several mergers and acquisitions of various companies. With a keen eye for tax and business, Michael is able to leverage his knowledge to provide each client with a plan to help financially stabilize their future. Michael has helped countless athletes advance onto the NCAA, Major Junior and professional ranks.

Michael spends much of his time between the ISA Hockey home office in Rochester, NY and his scouting territories of: Western New York, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Manitoba, Alberta and British Columbia.



Colby’s passion for hockey started at a young age. He grew up in Rochester, NY playing AAA hockey while attending the Aquinas Institute of Rochester where he excelled both in the classroom as well as on the ice, graduating with honors. After high school, Colby attend SUNY Brockport majoring in Criminal Justice while playing for the university’s varsity hockey program. Colby graduated from SUNY Brockport in 2013, and immediately pursed his Master’s in Business Administration at Southern New Hampshire University. While pursuing his MBA, Colby also played professionally in Watertown, New York. Colby received his Master’s in Business Administration in 2015.

Colby brings in 20 years of hockey experience— from playing NCAA hockey at SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles to playing professionally. He is responsible for establishing player relations, player advancement, and assisting in all client matters. Colby has a keen eye for the game and is responsible for scouting the Ontario, Quebec, New England, Mid-Atlantic, and Western New York regions. Colby is a current resident of Rochester, New York. He is a proud son of Ken and Debbie, and role model to his younger brother Chad.
